Class Structures and Year Split

After 2 years in Key Stage 1 children move onto Key Stage 2 (KS2). The term “Key Stage 2” is used to describe the four years of schooling after Key Stage 1. Children in Key Stage 2 are split into year groups known as Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6. Children in Year 3 are usually 7 or 8 years old whilst children in Year 6 are usually 10 or 11 years old.

Class 5 contains Year 3 pupils.
Class 6 contains Year 4 pupils.
Class 7 contains Year 4 pupils.

Assessment and Reporting

All children are continually assessed and parents are informed of their child’s progress at Parents Evenings and in a written report at the end of each school year.
