Y4 Swimming Lessons

This term Year 4 will be going swimming at Selwyn Jones Swimming Centre on the following dates.

The Local Authority has arranged the swimming timetable to ensure that each child has a least three one hour long sessions.  The school pays for the baths, tuition costs and transport hire so there is no charge to parents.  The children leave school after lunch by coach.

Please ensure that your child brings his/her swimming things to school along with a towel and spare plastic bag for wet costume.  A brush or comb would also be an advantage.  An outdoor coat must be worn to school on baths days. 

Please note that Bermuda style or loose fitting shorts are not allowed by the baths for health and safety reasons.  Girls should wear one piece swimsuits and no earrings can be worn whilst swimming. Swimming caps are optional, but long hair must be tied back.

The swimming session is from 2pm to 3pm therefore, the children will arrive back at school at approximately 3:45pm.  Therefore, children who access the school bus will have to be collected by a parent or guardian on these days.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
