Rainford CE Primary School is a place where our children, staff and parents live out our Christian values to create a warm and vibrant learning community. Visitors comment on the wonderful atmosphere that is experienced as soon as you enter the building. Our staff are committed to providing a caring, stimulating and focused learning environment and a broad and relevant curriculum which ensures children enjoy coming to school and enables them to develop a wide range of life skills.
We excel at sports, music and the arts and ensure that our children are fully ready for the next stage of their education at 11 years old in academic subjects. Our children develop excellent sporting skills which is reflected in our recent sporting achievements: winners of the Woodlands Cup for mixed football and winners of the Gifted and Talented Dance competition run by Major Sports amongst local schools. We hold the Artsmark Gold standard for our achievement in the arts, including music, dance and drama. We have been awarded the 'Spirit of Enterprise Award' at the Educate Awards 2015 which acknowledges our commitment to preparing our children for employment and we were shortlisted for the SEND Provision Award which recognises our commitment to ensuring that all our children have an equal opportunity to make good progress and achieve their full potential. We were awarded the 'Outstanding Teaching of Life Skills Award' in 2016 for our 'well rounded approach' to ensuring pupils' wellbeing.
We have an excellent partnership with Janet our vicar and All Saints Church which has been described as 'outstanding' by a SIAMS inspector. All aspects of our school life are influenced by our Christian values including the behaviour of our children who are extremely caring about each other.
Rainford CE - a very special place to be!
