Burwardsley Visit

What an amazing trip the Y2 children have had!

The children set off from school on Friday morning then made their way to Beeston Castle. After looking round the ruins and spending their money in the gift shop, the children then took part in a den building competition on the way back to the Burwardsley Centre. After a hot evening meal, there was some free time playing football, climbing on the ropes course or exploring the woods before coming indoors for T-shirt decorating. The children then changed into their pyjamas and played with their toys and games. Mrs Leeming  read the children a bed time story, while Mr Atrill and Mrs Loftus made everyone a nice hot chocolate.

On Saturday morning, there was a giant cooked breakfast followed by a walk to the Cheshire Workshops to make candles and play on the adventure playground. Once back at the Centre, the children had their lunch then packed their bags before returning home.

The children were an absolute pleasure to be with. They followed safety rules well, showed a great deal of independence, worked well as part of a team and tried a wide range of new skills.

Photographs from the trip can be seen in the "Gallery" section of this web site.
