Rainford in Bloom

Letters have gone home about this competition. Today, one of the competition organisers visited the school to discuss our action plan. We are now calling upon the whole school community to really pull together to make sure that our school looks amazing.

We can confirm that judging will take place on 5th July, so we still have a few weeks to get the school ready. The grounds need to look clean, so our litter picking squad will be working extra hard. Our paper bin monitors will be continuing to recycle scrap paper. Miss Johnson's gardening club will also be putting in extra effort to ensure our crops are growing well. After School Club have been growing plants from seeds in a propagator, Reception children have built ther own garden centre outdoor role play and KS1 children have just completed a topic on plant growth. Mrs Cornthwaite is frantically growing sunflowers and Mrs Richardson is preparing some floral hanging baskets.

If you feel you can help in any way at all to get our school ready to be judged, please see Miss Johnson or Mrs Loftus. ALL OFFERS OF HELP WILL BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED.
