Little Garden Nursery

PROSPECTUS (1).png

Little Garden at Rainford is the school's nursery where children are encouraged to begin a lifelong love of learning through play, creativity, secure relationships and rich, stimulating experiences. Children can start Little Garden from two years old.

The nursery is made up of two rooms: our Preschool room- Raindrops and our infant room- Sunbeams. Raindrops had a full refurbishment in 2022 and our new Sunbeams room is currently undergoing an extensive renovation ready for opening in October 2024. We pride ourselves on creating high quality environments with comfortable, interesting, 'home from home' spaces as we believe this is crucial in ensuring our children feel happy, confident and safe.

We know that children develop quickly in the early years and in order for this development to take place it is vitally important to make our children feel safe and secure. Within our nursery, our fully qualified and carefully selected staff are friendly, approachable and caring. All staff are under the direct supervision of the Early Years Foundation Stage Leader. They are DBS checked; trained in safeguarding, and have the most up to date training on how best to support and care for our youngest children. Our nursery curriculum is inspired by the Montessori teaching method and curiosity approach.

Sunbeams

Our Sunbeams room takes children from two years old. During this important stage, children develop and change so quickly that it is important that all their needs and interests are understood allow each child to thrive and flourish. We know how much children love to explore the world around them, and in Sunbeams, we ensure that we can facilitate this creating a rich environment with resources and experiences which utilise their senses, interests and curiosity. All resources are low level so at an early age children are free to make their own choices and access all the resources themselves.

If you are eligible for 15 hours free childcare for your 2 year old and you would like your child to join our Sunbeams setting, please look out for your child's 2 year old passport that you will receive in the post or via email.

Once you have received the passport please bring it along with your child's birth certificate and proof of address (e.g utility bill) to the school office and we will be able to help you complete the relevant paperwork to apply for a place for your child.

If you haven't received a passport in the post or via email but feel you meet the criteria, please check by visiting https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
